Acheron wanted nothing more than to take comfort in Legolas’ words, however he knew better. Or so he believed he thought better of it anyways. “I do hope that I am wrong in my thinking and that it will be so. Believe me I’d much rather be a free man than made to live over and over the things that I have done.” He would leave it at that. He smiled softly, “I do agree with you on that. I would hate to see the world fall into darkness.” That would never do. Stryker would never have that satisfaction if Acheron had anything to do with it.
He smiled once again and turned his head to look at Legolas for a moment. “I’ve never had the chance to turn an enemy into a friend, Legolas. I’m not nearly as lucky as you’ve been with that. I’m sure though, that this friend you have will eventually show up.”
Acheron couldn’t help but laugh at Legolas’ words and shook his head. “No, it’s played on instruments. It’s just the genre of the music. I apparently have my work cut out for me in teaching you about these things huh?” He teased with a smirk and nodded his head, “Stop by my room anytime and I’ll play you some things so you can better understand it.” He nodded his head, and turned his attention back to the game.
He thought for a moment, “I can but it is getting murky.” He glanced over and lifted a shoulder, “If we continue to talk, and the closer I let you get to me the less I’ll be able to see.” He shook his head, “I cannot see my own future, just those around me who I choose to get close to which honestly isn’t that many people.” And that pained Acheron more than anything. Now that he could actually have friends he kept people at arms length. “Yes, that’s why I said there are so many options with that. I cannot truly know what will happen because of the choices that must be made.”
Acheron chuckled softly, “That’s quite alright. There will be another round to see who the best is.” He lifted a shoulder and then let out a sigh. “It might be in a clear vial with a double bow symbol on it. If you happen to find it before I do that would be most welcome.” He smiled, chuckling once again at the look on Legolas’ face. “It will be alright.” He smirked and then waited on the next round to start.
