The headaches were all but gone. The one good thing about this whole stuck in a hospital room thing was that he was getting a steady supply of morphine. Cuddy was, indeed, an angel of mercy. Or a demon of mercy. Either way she had mercy. The morphine was the only thing that kept him from making a huge fuss about being confined to the hospital bed.
He had solved his cable problem by using his laptop to stream movies and television. He almost preferred it to his TiVO but... not quite.
His fifth episode of X-Files of the day had just started when he heard the door open. "This better be good, this is the one with the vampires."
