The wolf had lived through leaner times, and experienced first hand just how poor leadership could leave the pack weak. Under his rule the pack had prospered again, yet being the Alpha of such a sizable pack...and the CEO to a fortune 500 company meant that he was often required to live a far more opulent lifestyle. Even if he would have preferred otherwise. Still between the tailored suits, the ridiculously expensive golf clubs, and the upscale properties...well there were some perks to being wealthy. Beyond it all though Adam enjoyed the simple fact that no member of his family would ever want for anything.
Of course such benefits came with price; namely the amount of nearly overwhelming work that the Alpha put into both running the company and the Pack. Free time was a rarity for him, even when he was supposed to be enjoying a vacation. Still such was the life, and the burden he gladly wore. Even as he sat on the couch, listening to Meri talk about the move, the wolf's gaze remained fixed on his laptop as he found himself reviewing the day's reports. It was only when she posed the questions that Adam glanced up at last and, after pausing to consider just what was asked, with a chuckle he just shook his head. "Oh there is no need to worry over such things, Meri. I've sent word to the pack and they will be sending a few wolves here to lend a hand with the move itself, and my legal team will handle any paperwork required for purchasing a suitable place."
It was good to be Alpha at times, and the wolves had been all jumping at the chance to come out and meet his new mate. Adam had simply gotten word to his sister back home, but he knew that a few dozen had already volunteered for taking a trip out here. "If you are bored I suppose you could go through your possessions and perhaps label a few boxes. Yet I have no doubt that the pack will handle just about everything."
