[ It's okay - I'm so sorry about the hurricane stuff. Please take your time and don't feel a rush to tag back. I totally understand. ]
Bobby was kind of ordering her, which she hated. But it was early and there wasn't time to process much.
"That's good," Buffy said to Sam when he told her about Lilith. "I always feel better when we have a solid lead. I mean, I hope it's solid. It's worth checking out either way. Not that I think you guys would want to follow a bad lead." Stop rambling! She smiled weakly. How could she explain she didn't like coffee that much? She liked the occasional mocha or latte...but she doubt that could be arranged. Since she was surely going to be tired when the adrenaline of a 'new!place' wore off, she decided she'd have a cup of coffee. Just, with lots of sugar.
"I'm just gonna - clean up, like he said. Apparently I smell really bad," she joked. "Your hair is safe for now, Sammy." A wink followed that statement. She'd be sticking around for a while, and it was kind of their thing now. She liked having a thing with Sam.
"I'll just be - well, I'll be faster than normal," she said sheepishly. Normally she took a while to get ready. Of course, when things of a slayage nature were on schedule she always hopped to it. But that part usually happened after dark, not before she'd done her hair.
She escaped upstairs quickly, glad she'd thrown a different T-shirt in her bag. She was hoping it wouldn't be weird to borrow shampoo, soap, and towels from the guys.
She really did speed things up. She didn't even think to look for a blow dryer, that wasn't important. A quick comb-through of her hair and patting it dry again was good enough. She did apply a bit of makeup - but just the essentials like mascara. She estimated that it'd been a bit over ten minutes by the time she was almost running back down the stairs, proud of how fast she'd been - and certain Bobby would think she'd taken too long. Pish posh!
She almost ran into Sam who was holding a cup of coffee. Luckily her reflexes kick in and she was able to jump back and hold her balance on one leg. "Oops. Sorry. That would be. Anyway, I'm ready." She looked to the coffee. "Is that for me?"
