Humans and their cars. It wasn't like she was scratching it all up or chewing off the tires. She had tried chewing a tire once. The after-taste had lasted in her mouth for days. And what was so precious about his truck? It looked old and beat-up, like it had totally seen better days. Better people too.
The knife had been one hell of a surprise. Rosemary hadn't known what to think of it even long after it had sliced by her head. She actually turned her head and look to where the knife had landed just to make sure that it was really a knife and not just her imagination. But there it was, embedded deeply into a tree across the freaking street.
Her head swung back to the human. She was still not sure what was going on. Throwing knives wasn't part of the rules. That was dangerous! But judging by the very serious looking knife second knife in the human's hand, the guy probably already figured that. Well, this was a new kind of pie in the shop, wasn't it? His warning wasn't so much a warning as it was a threat. Oh wait, the knife had been the warning. Rosey consider herself sufficiently warned. But now the question was, what was she going to do about this new turn of events?
She could take his advice, take the burger and have herself a nice meal somewhere other than the hood of his truck. That would be the smartest idea. The best idea. Royce would have taken it. If those knives were anything to go by, this human meant business and he clearly knew what she was. Very bad idea to stick around. And there was the business about dragging her to fangs? Again, very bad idea to stick around.
Then again, she had never been good about avoiding bad ideas. She plopped her butt down on the hood, dropped the food bag and went on to duck her head inside for her tasty burger.
