Charlotte's face lit up as soon as Briar opened the door - nervously, yes, but when was the last time Charlotte did something not nervously? She had been much more at ease a year ago, much more comfortable with herself, but ever since she'd gotten Snow, it seemed her confidence had taken blow after blow after blow. Some of that was her own fault, but most of it had been out of her control... which didn't make her feel any better. Not even a little bit. Still, she couldn't help but feel immensely relieved at the sight of Briar. She didn't know the woman at all, but she already felt like she could tell her anything. That must've been all Snow - Charlotte barely talked to her own sister, let alone told her all her secrets. This was a very new, very strange feeling for her, but it wasn't one she intended to ignore. After all, she couldn't ignore everything Snow felt - that would definitely drive her crazy.
"Bonjour!" Charlotte replied brightly, giving Briar a small awkward wave. "I, ah, probably should've asked before - this isn't a bad time, is it?"
