"I'd noticed that," he replied with what passed for a serious look with him. A year ago, he hadn't been so sure about that, but she was still here. That was the thing about Dallas. She was always there. When he didn't know what they were doing, or when he was being a complete jerk, or a moron, she always showed up again. Any sane woman would have gotten sick of him and split by now, he was sure. "It's one of your more appealing qualities."
He reached out to brush her hair back. "Among others." Plenty of others. There was a lot to like about Dallas, and no other woman in the world quite like her.
