Lucy listened intently to Ben, nodding as he spoke, trying to take it all seriously but really, really failing. She was so excited — nervous, yes, but excited all the same — that she couldn't stop smiling. It had been a long time since Jason had done V; he'd stopped for a good reason, after Rene and Amy, but now... well, now there wasn't a reason not to do it, was there? Lucy trusted Ben with every fiber of her being, and there weren't any psychotic, vampire-phobic serial killers on the loose, let alone any actual vampires (that she knew of, anyway). Taking V didn't get any safer than this.
She pulled herself closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder and holding his arm affectionately as she inspected the box with wide, curious eyes.
