Lucy laughed and spun once for him gracefully, showing off just a little. As a ballerina, she couldn't not do anything without an air of poise to it; it was against muscle memory, plain and simple. Some ballerinas were clumsy when they weren't dancing, but not her. She couldn't be awkward physically if she tried. Just verbally, and maybe a little emotionally, but Ben had never complained. Obviously, he didn't have a reason to.
"Why, thank you, handsome." She smiled playfully at him as he crossed the room and wrapped his arms around her, and she in turn draped her arms around his neck, leaning away from him just enough so that he could get a good view. This dress had quite a deep V-neck, after all. "You don't look so bad yourself!"
But then she leaned forward and gave him a quick, eager kiss. All her previous worries forgotten, she was more happy than she could say that they were finally, really alone. They needed to be, after everything. They needed to get away for a little while, and this was the perfect way to do it. "What'd you order for me? And please don't say a cheeseburger. That would kill the mood and you know it." She poked his chest with her finger forcefully, emphasizing her point, but still smiling teasingly as she did it. It was clear she was joking, and even if it hadn't been, he still probably would've laughed. That's just how he was, and she loved him for it. He could make anything better, make her feel better, with just a laugh.
