Holly did understand her, like always. It was funny how they both tried so hard to appear different from the other, though what do you expect from a pair of twins. Physically you look the same, it's natural to want people to be able to tell you apart in other ways. The fact was, with Holly and Tawny? They were far too similar for their own good, and for that there was an extra dosage of negativity between them. At least on Holly's end, she did not want to be seen as 'crazy Holly', not like her sister.
In other ways, she didn't mind their similarities and like mindedness, especially when it came to their 'secret twin language'. It was largely off the wall and off the top of their heads, but Holly still understood. She actually liked being able to understand Tawny, not just because Tawny was so unpredictable and that unnerved pretty much everyone else. But who wouldn't want to understand their own sister?
She rolled her eyes at Tawny's last words, inwardly hoping that's all it was and he hadn't actually tried anything. Didn't matter that Tawny was here and could obviously take care of herself, she'd still want to kill him. She also had to wonder how Tawny even got out, how was it possible that she was here sitting in her bedroom right now. Had there been any trouble? These were the sort of thoughts that Holly never voiced out loud. She twisted the ends of a chunk of hair, nervous habit, and opted to ignore the comment all together. "Did the toast get burnt?" Are you okay?
