He was close enough, leaning toward her like he did, that if she took a deep breath, her breasts might brush against his bare chest. But she held her breath, letting it out in a whispered sigh as he kissed her neck. She smiled softly as he took her hand, taking in the hotel room and all its accouterments.
"Champagne sounds nice," she said, following his lead. It was a nice room--spacious, lush, ambient. "Oh, and I brought you something," she said, letting her purse slip from her shoulder and sliding something rectangular toward him from its depths as she accepted the champagne. "It's not much, but I couldn't have a layover in Switzerland and not bring back chocolate."
She raised her glass in toast as well. "To casting our cares away?"
