"Nothing." The noise she made was half laugh, and half sigh. "There's nothing about this that ain't weird." Which was part of the massively huge problem they'd stumbled in to. Part of her wanted to drag Allan out by the nose, explain to him that she'd had Rick first, and he was just going to have to deal with it. Too bad it didn't work that way, though the mental image did amuse Will a great deal.
He looked...confused. She wasn't sure what he had to be confused about, when he was the one that was so freaked out that it was obvious where this was headed. Dallas figured that, in the long run, she'd be able to work through it. It was him that she was worried about. Having to deal with being a new reincarnate was bad enough. Finding out you were fucking said reincarnate's best friend had to make it a hundred times worse.
She sat up completely, keeping the blanket against her chest with one arm. "I never asked you to make any promises to me, so it ain't like it matters." She'd told him once that she was a shit actress. She had a hard time covering up just how miserable she was. "I figure this is all too weird, especially with me and Allan both around to fuck it up now. Why bother to try and make it any more awkward than it already is?"
