"Grateful?" She raised an eyebrow at him, skeptical. "I'm sure you could do better, Peter. If you haven't noticed, I'm really not all that exciting." It sounded harsh, but it was the truth - or at least she thought so. Any other girl in her position would have been out on that dance floor already, not hovering at the edge of it having an internal debate with the fairy tale princess in her head. For the most part, Snow did her best not to interfere, but she made her disapproval of Peter known at every turn. She kept telling Charlotte that she knew better than to fall for his tricks. Did she? Really? Maybe, but it wasn't like she was going to relive Snow's history and marry him. She was just going to dance with him. That was all. Wasn't it?
As he nodded, a slow smile pulled at the corners of her lips - once she remembered to breathe, of course. She wasn't expecting him to touch her like that. "Yes, please," she said brightly, somehow gaining the confidence to flirtatiously hold her hand out for him to take. Where had that come from? "Though maybe just for one song. I may have underrepresented myself a bit when I said I wasn't much of a dancer, because I am decidedly not one at all."
