He would have responded, but he was smiling too hard to say much. Besides, his eyes were still lit with a smile as he kissed him deeply before Alex pulled away to groan at him, and he was still grinning.
He just couldn't help it. Even as his hands moved over the skin, feeling how much muscle mass he had lost, how every bone was protruding, how the skin felt like a light canvas, stretching so much over his body that it was almost tight, too tight to be completely natural. He almost wondered if his bones had become hollow now, like a birds, so that he would be ready to take flight at a moments notice.
But still, even if the body had changed slightly, it was still him under there. It was still Alex, even if his body was so cold. Rick knew he would have to warm him up then, and he tried not to think too much at how much he ached to be with him right now because of that.
Instead he removed his hands, and then grabbed the bottom of his lover's shirt and pulled it up, using his hands to make Alex raise his arms so that he could take it off.
