Who: Sarah Evans and James Miller. Where: Sarah’s apartment in Midtown Manhattan. When: 9th April 2009, evening. Rating: TBD, but probably a fair amount of bad language.
Sarah rolled her eyes at her laptop - or rather at James’s response - before shutting down her computer. The apartment was annoyingly quiet with her roommate out of town, and Sarah usually liked to be surrounded by people. It probably had something to do with her years at boarding school, as well as living in a house full of noise before being sent away to school. It helped explain why she had invited a guy from the internet to her apartment.
Blaming her own past was a lot easier than thinking it was because they had both been Robin so they had some sort of connection. Although that was also true, in a really fucked up way. No one else would really get it if she decided to bitch about Batdickery. That and they were bound to meet eventually, at least this way it was on her terms and would probably be humorous. Or violent. But the latter was always a possibility when you got more than one ex-Robin in a room, she had read the comics.
She attempted to make her apartment look a little less than a dump before he arrived, tidying her criminal justice books into a neat pile by her laptop, putting the Chinese take out cartons that she’d been working through into something that looked like an orderly pile rather than have them scattered all over the living/dining room and she also made her bedroom look a little less messy. Yeah, okay, she was going a little overboard with the last minute tidying, but she wanted to make a half-decent first in-person impression.
