She nodded, thanking him softly as she entered the building, waiting to one side for him to follow her in so that they could be seated. The truth was, she'd gotten used to hearing Tanya giggling over stupid late-night television programs, and generally being present. It had really helped to get her out of her own head, and keep her mind off of her own problems. But she was happy that the young woman had come into her own.
"I suppose there's a time and a season for everything," she mused, smiling a little at her dinner companion. "On the bright side, I certainly have much more time to socialize now."
