He decided then, that he was going to do it. Something about the way she looked at him, unmoving. She was thinking about it too, and he'd be a fool to let the moment pass him by. He leaned forward just that little bit, eyes open until he met her lips, then closed as he tilted his head.
He knew things could go either way. He'd been smacked enough times to know it was a very real risk. He just hoped he didn't ruin the friendship he had with Kel. He liked her, a lot. She was a good friend, a friend who understood him without making him say a whole lot, and he valued that.
He could only hope their friendship was strong enough to withstand this, if it was a mistake on his part. One little kiss wasn't worth losing that.
