Clyde was careful, so very careful with what looked like a very broken body. He'd talked to Annie before, but he hadn't met her face to face. This was very different. He knew he'd get angry, but he couldn't do this to a woman. Not what had been done to Becca and certainly not what had been done to Annie.
"Do what you can." Clyde moved out of the way to let Becca work her magic, and he had never thought that would be something he'd think of literally. Instead he settled into a crouch beside the boy.
