With a shrug, Jax moved forward into the circle with her bag of ingredients, waiting for Dex to step over the line before moving a bare toe into the mark. A little push of will, and the circle closed with a small snap, the only noticeable sign anything had happened at all.
Jax and John's magic wasn't anywhere near as showy as Dresden's, a small bowl of ground... things making a paste to paint onto the blade of the stick in various shapes and runes. True to form, when she muttered the words over the markings (with a very subtle Cockney accent, of course), the entire stick disappeared for a few seconds, before reappearing; well, most of it. The marks stayed gone.
Sighing with a subtle slump of her shoulders, she smudged the circle with her foot again, causing a slight breeze of unused energy to gust out of the room.
"There- I can teach you to use it when Dresden's done."
