Ava hadn't been that bad, really, but neither Dex nor Dresden had much experience with children, so one question from her felt like a hundred.
Practicing magic always carried a risk, but Dresden and Constantine were both so called professionals. Dex wasn't terribly worried; crafting a staff wasn't particularly dangerous, until it came time to test it anyway.
