All in all, it really had been almost too easy to do something like this. Not that Rick had given a million hints over the past weeks, but really, CORE was playing with chaos right now, and what was better than to whisk away a lovely girl and her brat? Not that the kid was actually bratty, but he was easier to deal with once he had supplied him with some crayons and some paper.
Kids these days. They were the most resilient out of the scores of people in the world, and while he may be traumatized a little bit by this; oh, who was he kidding, the kid would be extremely traumatized. But that was what he intended to do, so really, anything else was a good by product of all the things that would be happening here today.
But back to the beginning. He had been scoping out the house for a few days beforehand, and while Rick had posted on his journal that he was heading out of town only today, well, did he really want to be giving away secrets of the trade? Not at all. So he waited, and he watched. For three days, he had rented a crappy motel room, and a crappy car that’s engine sometimes threatened to stall sometimes, but it blended into the whole scene. He had watched Annie play with her son out in the yard, he had seen Sammy -Jimmy - meet up with the two.
It was almost like a little happy family. Rick was excited to break it apart, piece by piece, until it all would be broken. He had no plans to rebuild anything.
Breaking into the house was easy. He almost damaged the door as he pushed it open, but luckily all it did was slam against the wall, waking the baby sitter in the process. She was the first one in this little vacation time to go. He really did enjoy watching as he flung her into the wall, her eyes wide and her mouth open in a scream that never came. Head wounds could be such a hassle, never knowing if the person could live through it, and that was something that he just couldn’t have. Bringing her to him, he snapped her neck and pushed her lifeless body to the side, as if he could care less.
But then, he couldn’t really care at all. He was amused when he walked upstairs and opened the bedroom to grab the kid, and he put up as much of a fight as a sleepy little kid could. Must have been the Winchester genes in him, but putting him back to sleep was simple. After that, the process was easy; go outside, put the kid into the car, buckle him in and lock up. Make sure that the trunk was open. Go back inside the house and position the body of the baby sitter in the kitchen as he took a seat in the front of the house in one of the darker corners.
She gave up a good fight, Annie and Dean did. She came at him in a fury as soon as she saw him in there, and while the fight would have been good, he didn’t want to fight in her house. He did want a fight, but not in a place where everyone could see, and least of all, hear. So he smashed her head against the wall twice, knocking her unconscious so he could tie her up and dump her body in the trunk. Rick was in a good mood as he hummed a little tune all the way to the place he had decided to use beforehand.
Two separate rooms. He kept the kid in one room and supplied him with as many snacks and juice as he could find, and then locked the door, sticking the key into his pocket as he tied Annie to a hook hanging down from the ceiling.
Chairs were such a thing of the past. Her legs were bound, as were her hands, and the rope that they were tied in was fashioned into a loop so that she hung a few inches off the ground. Now, he wasn’t much of a torture specialist like some others, but then, torture wasn’t the main objective here.
He went over to her unconscious body with a smirk, running one hand along the curves of her side before viciously punching her in the ribs, breaking a few in the process. Then he grabbed his chair and sat back down, waiting for her to wake up.
