"The guy who hosts Terry McGinnis? He introduced himself to me over the network. You dated him?" It was hard for Colin to hide his momentary (and surprising) jealousy. Not that he was still harboring feelings for Frankie, he didn't think he was, though he could be very wrong about that. But there was something about not being the only bat to court Frankie Thomas that made him a little fidgety. Okay yeah, he was definitely jealous, even if she had basically said that she hadn't had much fun with him. He and Frankie had always had fun together. That thought made the pit of his stomach ache in a peculiar way, so he attempted to replace the ache with a mouth full of noodles.
The other guys in the room weren't paying any attention to them, or bothering them for food. They would come get some later, because before Frankie had arrived Colin had warned them not to interrupt. He graced them with as much detail as they needed to know to actually heed his warnings. "Bruce Wayne is definitely a good person to have in your head if you're in need of some discipline, he'll help Kyle a lot. Though I'm sure your brother would be just as good of a man without Bruce." He thought about Frankie's next question, taking another drink of his Sapporo to wash down the noodles before he answered her.
"I think it made things a lot easier, in some ways. I suppose it all depends on who you have. But for me, having Dick at such a young age, I couldn't imagine being who I am now without him. He helped me cope with my mother's death in the best way possible, considering he already knew a little something about the loss of family. In other areas... having his habits in my head for so many years made them all that much harder to resist. But it's much better now." Of course, Colin was referring to Dick's tendency to womanize among other things, but he was sure he didn't need to voice that.
