It was just about then that Ava tossed the ornament she had been holding down to the ground, watching it bounce with a shocked sort of face before grabbing another one.
"Ava-" Jeff moved over to her to put the ornaments back on the tree, earning himself a long pout.
"I think it might be bedtime." She looked over to Braedan and whined, obviously not wanting to leave just yet. "You can see Braedan tomorrow, Ave. You don't want to stay up so late right before Santa comes do you? We need to be good girls and boys, so Santa brings us gifts." He was shameless in pulling the Santa card, and for once, it seemed to work. Ava took his hand, following him back over to the adults.
