Who: Jacqueline Legrand, Michael Morgan, and OPEN TO CAMELOT PEOPLE BREAKING INTO THE AGENCY. What: Camelot breaks into the Agency to steal stuff! When: Saturday, 10th October. 10pm. So it's posted a little early. Where: Agency HQ, London.
If you asked most people how they’d break into the Agency Headquarters they’d probably come up with a plan that involved scaling the walls, explosives and a generous amount of luck. Jacqueline Legrand was not one of these people. She fixed her blonde wig, straightened her clothes and walked towards the main entrance. Why break in when you can walk in?
“Hey there, I’m Kathleen from Miami. I’ve been asked to do a surprise security check by Director Macintosh.” The poor receptionist looked startled. Jacqueline almost felt sorry for her, stealing stuff from right under everyone’s noses and this girl was going to be the one to let her in.
“Can I see your ID?”
“Sure.” Jacqueline handed over the fake ID and smiled. “I’ve never been to HQ before. I bet it’s really something working here, right? The centre of everything? Wow. The closest I got was a seminar in the New York office, and now I’m here running a security check. It is such a big day for me!”
“Everything looks okay. I’ll get Jim to show you up to control.”
Perfect.
“Thank you.” Jacqueline flashed her another professional, but kind, smile and waited for Jim. He was the stereotypical security guard, slightly overweight, gruff, and he looked like he was a little past his prime. Jacqueline had perfected the sunny disposition act over a series of years, quick talking, quick to laugh but able to answer questions on Agency security protocol that made her seem like an insider.
This wasn’t her first time breaking into an Agency building, and if you were going to break in then it was a good idea to know how they would react. Information on the Agency was extremely easy to find if you knew the people to ask, and Jacqueline did.
The security centre was high tech, television screens covered the walls showing the video feed from all the security cameras in the building, and the control consol that could be used to manipulate the security for the entire building, and probably some others if she wanted to try her hand at it. Maybe another time.
“Thank you so much, Jim, I’ll be sure to tell Director Macintosh how helpful you were.” She smiled. Poor guy was probably going to get fired for this. “Do you mind if I have the room, I need to run the check in private. I don’t know why, it’s just part of the protocol I was asked to follow. And don’t worry if alarms or anything go off, I’ll probably need to test them.”
She held the smile until she was left in the control centre alone, and then she got down to business. She took her laptop out of her shoulder bag and plugged it into the control consol and got ready to go.
“This is Renegade; I’m in the control centre.” She tapped her ear piece and knew that her voice was being projected to whoever at Camelot was listening into this.
“Copy that, Renegade. Tell us when you’re all set up and we’ll send the others in.” Michael Morgan sounded like he was right next to her, but he was a hundred miles away shacked up in his cosy little castle in Glastonbury. You’ve gotta love technology.
“Just give me a second.” She said, mostly to herself, as she switched off the alarms, looped the recording security cameras and satisfied herself that she’d done everything she could to get the other people into the building. “Okay, alarms are down and the back doors are open. Give them the go ahead and then patch me into their frequency.”
“Copy that.” There was a brief pause before Michael spoke again. “You’re patched through.”
“Okay, info team you’re going to need to head to the fourth floor. It’ll be patrolled by a team in twenty minutes so you’re going to have to get there quickly. The doors will all be open but be careful there are still some Caretakers in their cubicles.” She glanced over the screens. “Tech, you’ve got a clear path to R&D, but getting into the actual MTN station will be tricky. I can probably shut it down from here but I’ll need to know when you’re ready for it.”
“Probably?”
“Definitely. I can do it.” She answered. “Okay. Bug team, I’ve got my eyes on you. Go about your thing and I’ll tell you if you’re about to run into trouble.” She tapped quickly on her keyboard to bring them all up on her computer screen so she could track them specifically while still keeping her eyes on the big picture.
“Okay, everyone. Go do your jobs. I’ll let you all know if you’re about to run into any kind of trouble but we should be okay. Just be careful and don’t do anything stupid.”
