Avery had never actually seen Mike flirt with anyone else. That was kind of disconcerting. She gave the blond, Laura, a tight smile, not rude but not nearly as friendly as she had been, and made her hold on Mike a little more snug. Turning, she addressed Mattie. "You haven't been to a dump unless you've been to a NYC dump. It's better to avoid them, generally." Unless she was out being the world's worst vigilante, but that was another story. They were out to have fun tonight, not knock around petty criminals.
