"Always, babe, always. Mechbabe?" Clyde smiled, getting out of the way of the MTN. There were at least two more who'd be stepping through. He paused to look at the MTN; how did they handle simultaneous users even to the same port? His mind drifted off for a moment as he and Scotty worked out science.
"I wonder if they have a method of differentiation, or simply a hold on the portals. That would actually be easier." He stared at the portal a little longer before looking down at Avery with a smile. "So, your man's outside?"
No one had said it was official, but they were roommates. Clyde also knew Mike's side of things anyway, how the cop felt about the gal. As far as Clyde was concerned, they were a pair until it was definitely not happening.
"Can't just leave. The taxi can go if y'all'd rather, but I gotta wait on them." As if thinking or talking about them would bring them. "Well, shit, there's one now." Clyde reached out and pulled Becca in for a good squeeze and a quick kiss on the lips. He didn't let her get too far, just draped his arm about her shoulders. Now for Mattie. He wanted a conversation with Avery, but he wanted Mattie to arrive.
"Laura'll be by if she's comin' drinkin'. Or we could send her a message. Whatever." He shrugged, smiling. "How's the flyin' machine goin'?"
