Becca nodded. As gentle and tactful as Clyde had been, he had made it abundantly clear that there would be no more feeling sorry for herself, and she was glad to see that Mattie was upholding the rules despite her obvious empathy.
"I can already name a few things that we do agree on," she said, "First and foremost: we do not want a repeat of this past year's Supernatural season finale. Secondly..." She chewed her lip, trying to think how to best phrase the other two, but she still wasn't entirely certain whether Ruby genuinely cared about the fate of her loved ones, or if she just wanted revenge.
"Well, secondly, I want to make sure no one gets their claws on Tanya Adkins or anyone else I care about, and Ruby finds a smug satisfaction the idea of reminding a few of her fellow demons that Pride goes before a fall."
And thirdly, Rebecca had a feeling her attraction to Clyde was rubbing off on her other half, but she wasn't about to say that to the man's partner--even if it was strictly a business relationship. "Anyway, at least that might give me somewhere to start from, now that I have you and Clyde to keep me pointed in the right direction."
