Who: Al Peabody, Farley Trask
What: Domestic not-so-bliss - Farley's gotten tired of being a good guy?
When: August 12, 2009 - evening.
Where: Their house, Houston, TX.
Warnings: There might be fighting and words.
Al had had one of those days all she wanted to do was order in, curl up in front of the tv with her man and maybe her Lil, if they could talk the girl off the phone or out of her room, and forget the world. The truce had fallen, so she didn't have to worry about Farley going off to be heroic. They both had lost people in the war, and she didn't know if Farley would seek revenge for his fallen "daughter" or not. Al couldn't bring herself to start a cycle that many tragedies showed simply didn't work.
She'd picked up Lilia from ballet; the girl was really good. Her teacher had suggested getting Lilia in other types of dance to give her more experience with moment, it might help in renewing her interest - apparently Lilia had been having moments of distraction. Al would chalk it up to Lilia's being of the age to start realizing boys could be fun, but she'd decided to talk to Farley about it anyway. It might do Lilia good to expand her skill set? Was that it would be called? Expand her range?
Al set Lilia to the task of picking out and ordering dinner; it wasn't like they hadn't done that before. Al could cook, but it was basic stuff. Farley probably cooked better than she did. Neither had much time for it sometimes. As Lilia worked on dinner, Al searched for her other half; she wasn't that surprised to find him in the study. What she was surprised about was his half of the conversation. She had heard him talking to someone like this before, but it'd been a while, at least not in the last three years, if not longer. His back was to her, but she guessed he knew she was there from the way the conversation changed. She took a lean against an overstuffed chair, her favorite, and started to undo her shoes, waiting.
