When: August 11, 2019.
Where: Sanctuary.

Nothing made Margo happier than having a house full of people. That surprised her just about every day. There were times when she couldn't take two steps without tripping over a new refugee, yet it very rarely frustrated her. She loved having people around to take care of. It had been her job for a long time now, making sure everyone under her roof was clean and fed and as content as possible, and she'd yet to get sick of it. Now that the war was over, she wasn't sure what would happen. People would start going back to their homes, rebuilding their lives in whatever way they could. Sure, that made her happy, too. The world was heading back towards normal, and that was nothing but good. But she'd miss having so many people around. What were she and Max supposed to do with all of that extra space?
But for the moment, what the future held was the least of her worries. It was heading toward dinner time, and there were a lot of people wanting to be fed. For the first time in a long time, she'd been scooted out of her own kitchen. Dita was in there, back from her warring, whipping up something that smelled like heaven. That left Margo to do the things she normally roped whoever was around in to doing, like making sure there were enough places set at the table. Dita being home pretty much completed her happy little family. She'd always been worried that someone wouldn't come back. Too many people that she knew had skipped off to war. Yet they'd weathered it as well as could be expected. At least the crew was all in one piece. There wasn't a person at Sanctuary who would claim that Margo and Max didn't play favorites, but they were entitled.
Scooting the last of the plates in to place, she wiped her hands against her pants and gave a firm not. That was as good as it was going to get. After tightening her ponytail (currently brown, after a random impulse), she stuck her head in to the kitchen. She had to smile, seeing Dita there. It was all so familiar, even if it hadn't happened this way in a long time. "How's it coming in here? Need any help?"
