Who: Al Peabody, Laura Mayhew, Farley Trask (eventually)
What: Lunch with the family?
When: July 31th - Friday afternoon around 2 pm
Where: Tony's Restaraunte in Little Italy, NYC
Warnings: Possibly awkwardness. Definitely awkwardness.
Al and Laura had decided, finally, when and where to meet. It saddened Padme, and with her Al, that Leia's host had not answered the request, but then it was more than a little awkward to meet some chick who said she was your mother, when said chick was probably only a year or two older. It would be okay; Al had decided this, but Padme's nervousness was making her more than a little jittery.
Al had gone to work Friday, even if she was still concerned about so many things. She'd seen Farley off to the MTN, with the hopes that she'd see him later in the afternoon, before heading over to help people learn English. Thankfully, she was allowed to get out a little early, or she'd have been late for the lunch date. She wanted to get there on time to explain that she might have invited someone else. Laura might as well get to know Farley; for all Al knew, the two might be fighting side by side, which wasn't exactly the most comforting thought in the world.
It was warm enough outside without being too warm, that Al requested a seat under the cafe umbrellas. She ordered an iced tea, one of those things she held onto from growing up, and she'd yet to find a place in New York that could serve a good glass of iced tea. Yet, she kept ordering and hoping.
She looked business casual, she had come from work after all, without looking too over dressed for the weather. A soft button up blouse over a camisole that could be seen, a pair of linen pants, and cute little maryjanes. The look was much better than the one she'd been sporting the previous day, even if that one had been more comfortable.
