"Good. Thank you." Michael nodded. It was comforting to have someone on his side. Not their side of the war, but his side. Someone who would help him command and make decisions not to just to win the war, but to stay as sane as possible. He knew he could count on Christian for that.
"The things my dad drops on me when I come to visit to talk about profit margins, you'd think he'd give me a warning about this, but no." Michael tried to make it sound light hearted, but it didn't last long. "The other side has started recruiting new reincarnates. It broke the peace deal the Agency brokered. We need to look into doing the same thing and then decide on who throws the first punch."
There was so much to do, to cover, and explaining it all to Christian was just the beginning of what was bound to be a very difficult chapter of his life. "The whole company's a front.
