"Time is fluid, Fred," Parker said, choosing to address her first set of questions, before Elsa. "It flows differently in alternate dimensions, and that's basically what's happening here. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's part of the mystery." Parker shrugged. Wesley was effectively pacing, in the back of his mind. No way he was letting Wesley out, with Dom there. That would create a scene he wouldn't wish on anyone, and certainly not a public restaurant.
"There are no answers, in the end. It just is, and there's not much we can do about it. We question things, certainly. And we work it out to the best of our ability, be it scientific or otherwise, but at the end of the day, we have more questions, than answers, and i suspect that's the way it's always going to be."
Dom was holding his own, and Parker was impressed. He half expected some kind of scene, before the night was over, but he had hope that it wouldn't happen.
"When Elsa comes around, I'll talk to her. The Agency will step in, if necessary."
