"Thanks," Natalie said again, "And don't worry. I promise I won't make off with anything." She wrinkled her brow. "I guess I don't really know where to start looking, but I'm sure it will come to me."
She stirred the tea, rolling the mug between both hands, despite the bandaging. Thankfully it wasn't painful, just unsightly--and dangerous. She didn't want to find out how it worked, accidentally or otherwise.
"I hope I'm not disrupting your work day too much," she said, grimacing as she added, "Or you weekend. Is there any particular time you need me to be out of here so you can close up shop, or will you be around a while?" She tended to lose all sense of time in libraries of any kind, but she'd try to pay attention if she knew she was keeping him from anything. "I'd hate to overstay my welcome."
