Cindy,
This is what I know, or think I know about the reincarnate community. I’ll admit some of it’s guesswork because there are some circles I just don’t run in and I don’t have Agency resources. If I find out anything else then I’ll send it your way.
CORE
Like I said before, Saxondale acts like the one in charge. He put Harper Kennedy in the top spot for a few months before he had her killed. Possibly killed her himself. I’m not sure if he’s in charge now or if he’s made someone else the leader, maybe he thinks himself a kingmaker? Or maybe he just likes being the power behind everything without being in the top position? I don’t know, the man’s fucking crazy.
As for who heads up what? I can guess but I don’t know. I’ve never been a CORE member, so the following is all guesswork.
He’s been seen talking to JJ, Richard Hardwell, Petra Dragos, Rebecca Rice, and he seems to be on friendlyish terms with Anna Harkness. Whether these people are important or just people he likes to exchange words with on occasion I wouldn’t like to guess, but they’re where I’d start.
Both Richard and Rebecca accepted the cure to an illness that CORE had spread around and Saxondale was offering that for loyalty. They could be double agents looking for a way in or they could be genuine members. I’m not sure about the girl, but Hardwell has always given out the evil vibe.
Before the recent insanity they were keeping activities rather sparse, although whatever they did it was obviously to cause some kind of ruckus. Adam put a truth drug in a water supply that did nothing more than make people tell the truth for a week, chaotic but not exactly the work of a criminal mastermind looking to take over the world, more of a prankster with too much time and money on his hands. His next efforts got a bit tricky, there was an illness that went around that he was responsible for and it was a case of ‘join us or die’, but the Agency came up with a cure as well.
It was annoying and not exactly what I would call nice behaviour, but it was far more of an inconvenience than what they’ve been doing recently.
If I was a betting man, then I’d say they’re leading up to something massive. Either they need certain people out of the way or they want certain people and factions distracted completely before making their move. I don’t know what it is or why they’re doing it, but I bet it’s going to be big.
When it comes to other members, all I can think of is to look at the reincarnate. They do attract a certain kind of personality for a reason.
Now Camelot I know a little more about.
The Morgan’s have headed it up for generations. They pass it down the line like it’s a position they inherit. The family’s a bit screwed up, the former leader, Matthew Morgan, had a thing for his secretaries and as a result Michael has a number of siblings. Some of them are from his mother’s marriage to an English school teacher and one of them is the biological daughter of his father’s husband. It’s a little complicated but they’re very loyal to each other, regardless of blood. Michael’s mother was killed in the 1990’s and… it wasn’t good, to say the least. There are a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Not all of them get involved in the family business, but they’re all tied to it.
They attract a lot of members, obviously, and the key ones I can think of at the moment are Christian Sheffield, he’s the second in command and is probably Michael’s closest friend, Clyde Bailey does a load of their tech stuff, Nate Roth handles recruitment, and there are lots of other members. I can try and feel out a full membership list if you want me to but I can’t make any promises there.
It’s not as easy as looking at the reincarnate when it comes to Camelot. They attract people who want to stop CORE, not that I clan blame any of them.
They’ve suffered a lot of loses recently. The Fitzgerald’s were murdered at the beginning of December, I think they did med stuff for them but they also travelled a lot so there could be far more to it. They’ve got a couple of kids in the community, Luke Fitzgerald and Sarah Evans. They might be worth keeping an eye as young recruits looking for some revenge; the girl’s friend’s dad was recently murdered too. Shitty luck, and if it was me I’d be looking for blood already. Not sure if you can use that, but it might be worth something at some point.
Alan Hall and Joey Walker might not have been part of Camelot but I bet you anything that those pictures sent waves through them. If it didn’t rile them up then I won’t play my trumpet for an entire month. In fact, I can say something like that about most of the shit that’s gone down over the last month. They might’ve been members or not but if Camelot isn’t getting ready for action – or at least talking about it - then I’ll be surprised.
My opinion on Michael is that he’s a kid in a fucking shitty position. This is his first test of leadership, I think if he can keep his cool and keep a reign on his people then he’ll do okay. Even if he ‘loses’, I think he can get it back enough to fight back. He’s just a kid compared to us and he probably needs help, but he’s got potential.
Here we are with my views on everything else.
I won’t touch The Agency as it stands how, Bigby’s on the inside and you’d get more about it out of him than me.
The people who stand out, regardless of side, are these with reasons too: Betty Peabody – She talked out against Saxondale when he posted those pictures.
Indigo Lawson – Claimed CORE had tried to recruit her.
Jax Creedy – Been in and out of the community a couple of times, along with Dexter Henley.
Jacqueline Legrand – Wouldn’t trust her but she does good work. She might be a better source of current info than I am, or she could probably get you what you wanted anyway.
Tessa Wilson – A former charge of mine and long lived due to vampirism. Probably won’t pick a side with this war but it’s worth keeping an eye on anyone who has lived a long time.
Then there are the groups I’d keep an eye on, those who probably won’t act simply as individuals and just ones that should be noted as interesting.
We’ve got a few families, the Peabodys, the Drakes, the Fitzgerald/Evans, the Reeds, and the Sullivans are the ones I know of.
The Peabody clan includes Allison, Betty, and Les, but there’s also Farley Trask and his daughter, Phineas Morland, and Alex Wolfe. They’re close friends of the family. You might be able to include Frankie Thomas in there too as she talks to Betty a lot.
The Drakes are Richard and Conner, at the very least their mother is a reincarnate and the look like the plan is to stay as far out of the war as possible. Probably the best idea anyone has, to be honest.
The Evans/Fitgeralds are Sarah Evans and Luke Fitzgerald and they’re step siblings whose parents worked for Camelot, although I think her biological father did some low level work for CORE about 15 years ago or so. Their parents were killed last month but they both seem to be dealing with it reasonably well.
The Reeds are Peter and Roz, I don’t know much about them but she’s in a relationship with David Roberts and he seems to like provoking Mercedes Palmer.
The Sullivans are twins that I’ve noticed, but again don’t know much about.
There are some groups defined by fandom that I’d expect to get involved with all of this; Star Wars, DC Comics, Robin Hood, Supernatural and no doubt there are some that I haven’t even thought of. They’ll do the usual thing, look to the reincarnation of a leader if they have one and then divide along their ‘good’ and ‘bad’ lines. I’d give you names but if you haven’t got them by now then I don’t think you’re up to the spy gig, Cindy.
That’s all I’ve got so far. There’s so much history to this community that I’d be here for a long time detailing every little thing that’s gone on. I’ve tried to include everything relevant from the last year or so. If you need more then you’re going to have to give me a little more focus.
I’m going travelling, is there anywhere I should head towards or shall I just report back whatever I happen to find?
