Who: Margo and Greg. What: Plans for double dates, random 'girl' talk. When: Wednesday evening. Where: Phone! Warnings: Not a one.
-ring ring-
"Hello?"
"Hey, Margo. It's Greg."
"Oh! Hey Greg!"
"Hi. How's it goin'?"
"Um, good." -pause- "Is everything okay?"
-muffled- "Why does everyone ask me that?" -normal- "Yeah, just fine. Just had a question..."
"You just don't usually call. I probably have an answer?"
"You and Max still up for that double date plan?"
"More than likely. Did you talk Dita in to it?"
"Well, I talked her into a date, out, that doesn't involve bruising each other. I think we're gonna have to work with that. Something tells me it wouldn't hurt us to have a good exaple around."
"Max and I are a good example?" -laughs- "Alright, then. I'll mention it to Max again, just to be sure we're all on the same page."
"You're gonna have to be. So no pressure or anything." -laughs- "You do that. I think this should be fun."
"It's been awhile since I've seen you or Dita, so if nothing else it will give us all a chance to catch up."
"That too. Now that we all know each other, it's weird not having the crew around."
"It is. They all remember being stuck in a small space for a long time. Now we're all spread out."
"True. We've about got the whole country covered. That's a lot more space. Good reason to travel more though."
"There is that. It helps that we can practically teleport, thanks to those Agency machines."
"That does help. Makes long distance relationships less of a bad idea too. Slightly."
"Oh, I don't know. Max and I are doing okay, and we're long distance-ish. How are things with you and Dita, by the way? Good enough to get you another date, obviously, but other than that."
"Good. It's fun, anyway. Of course, I don't think either of us know what we're doing."
-laughs- "I think that may be a common problem. I get the feeling that everyone is just winging it."
"See and I used to just think it was that women were all crazy. Turns out once you get a more balanced perceptive... everyone's crazy."
"Men are just as crazy as women, at least in my experience."
"Based on Kaylee's experiences, I'm totally willing to believe that."
"I think we may be drawing on a few of the same memories."
"Most likely. I don't think there was much she didn't tell Inara anyway."
"Also true. It's not easy, being a girl in space!"
"Not at all. There was a new challenge everyday."
"I don't know about you, but I like it nice and quiet. And sunshiney."
"Yeah. The sun and fresh air is a big plus. And the quiet."
"Doesn't sound like it's too quiet for you, if you keep getting beaten up by Dita."
"Well, I did ask for it. And I'm gettin' better and handing back a good bruising too. That's the bit we're good at. It's when we're not doin' anything physical that it seems like we're speakin' different languages."
"I still don't see how that qualifies as any sort of date, but that's just me." -pause- "I'm assuming you don't mean that one of you unknowingly switches to Chinese...."
-laughs- "No, that's not what I mean. Maybe I should try that though, might work better."
"I'm sure you'll be fine, once you get all settled."
"I'm sure. It's workin' so far. And we'll have that good example now..."
"Of course! Watch and learn."
"Right! So talk to Max and we'll get this all lined up, yeah?"
"I will. I'll let you know when we figure something out."
"Alright. I'll talk to you again then. Take care of yourself."
