WHO: Aiden & Bradley Wood - Later December
WHAT: Aiden wants to catch up with his brother and check in on him & December and Brad have a lot to talk about.
WHERE: St. Mungo's
WHEN: Sunday Morning
RATING/STATUS: TBD!
There were many things that Aiden could imagine and handle. He was a Captain in the army for fucks sake. He wasn't your average man. There was very little that he allowed get to him. His younger brother reappearing in such a way was... There were a lot of words that Aiden had for it and yet nothing was really working for him. He should be able to handle this better. The fact was, was that Aiden had been very hard on himself when Bradley had disappeared, blaming himself and he constantly felt like he had failed by not finding Bradley. It made no sense that him. There were very few people who knew how hard Aiden had been on himself. Of course he didn't actually show it to anyone. Aiden had never been ver good at letting people get close to him. He really stopped letting people get close after his brother disappeared. The only people that even might have a clue about how hard he'd been on himself were Luke and Issie. Perhaps some of his men, but they'd never bring it up with him. Aiden had been good at maintaining those balances at least when it came to his own issues.
Aiden hadn't left St. Mungo's after his brother had been found there looking for his fiancé. That was another thing that Aiden had no idea how to help his brother with. He'd always approved of December, the problem was, he knew that she'd tried to move forward with her life. He never blamed her for that and in fact had talked to her about it being okay. She couldn't spend her life waiting for someone that no one knew for sure would come back. Despite never giving up on his brother, Aiden did live by a level of facts as well. He knew no matter where his brother was he'd want December to be happy. That's what he told December when he'd talked to her a few years back. Since that conversation he kept a little more distrance from her. He didn't want to remind the girl of Bradley too much and he feared being around her would do such a thing.
As the healers were leaving Bradley's room they told him that he could go in and talk to his brother. Their parents had gone home for the night to get sleep and Aiden knew that was exactly what they needed. He'd offered to stay. He didn't sleep much, but that was never something that he couldn't handle. If anything he got pretty good at it. As he walked into Bradley's room he looked at his brother and a small smile crossed his features. "Get any rest?" He asked keeping it as simple as possible to start with.
