Connor grinned. No, playing with professionals was nothing compared to karaoke, unless you were at one of the parties with all of them and some of the others and there was karaoke. Then it was just freaking hilarious. He made a note to propose that again sometime soon. It had been a very long time since someone had hosted something funny like that.
"Oh yes he would," Colby said, making a face at Connor, who made one right back at him. It was obvious they were a close-knit bunch, and in some ways, like a bunch of little boys who would bicker and tease each other endlessly.
"Well, if you want to workshop the tweaks tonight, we should have time for one or two things," John offered, but it was to Connor he looked for the nod of approval, which he gave without a thought. It wasn't obvious at all to Connor but it might be to outsiders, that in lieu of Brett he was now the band's leader. It would come as a surprise to him.
"In return, I have a song I've been working on that needs a woman's voice, and neither of these two sings a good falsie," Connor said, earning a quick falsetto line from Colby. John snickered into the guitar he was playing.
