As the guys got situated, Marla set Sarah back down and went over to her own guitar as Emily pulled some toys out of the diaper bag she'd brought along, setting them on the ground for Sarah to play with. Unsurprisingly, the toddler wasn't really interested in the toys, far more interested in the drums. She slapped one tiny hand against one of the drums, letting out a little squeal of excitement when it made noise, which of course enticed her to slap it again.
Marla chuckled when Connor put it on her to decide what they would start with. Rather than saying anything, though, she moved over to sit on one of the stools, setting her guitar on her legs. And she knew that she was being a little bit of a brat with what she did next, but she just couldn't resist. A part of her felt like she needed to prove herself to the guys even though Connor had heard her before and liked her music. She started playing one of her original songs, something a little slower to ease into the thing, that would probably be easier for them to jump into than something with a quicker tempo, especially Connor who would have heard it last weekend at the coffee house.
