Colby chuckled and smiled at the shyness. "No worries. John has a little one who's about three now that we get to play with sometimes, and of course Connor's brother's kids, and my sister's brood." He grinned. Even if most of them didn't have their own, they weren't completely ignorant of little ones even if they were on the road quite a bit.
"Ah, alas! That's too bad, but we hope you'll have fun anyway. Maybe Miss Sarah will come play with us," he said. If anything she could smack at the drums with John. That'd amuse everyone, he thought.
Colby's eyes didn't miss much, but he refrained from teasing before he had details. He eyed Marla slightly, curious and wondering if she'd dish. "Yes, go on down," he urged. "Just down the stairs, the big room with the door that's open," he said. Most of the basement/downstairs area had been converted to a damn fine music room, in his opinion, and he was almost jealous of Connor for it. Except for the fact they all got to play in it.
He waited for Emily to head on down, tilting his head toward the kitchen and heading that way with Marla. "So, dish, gorgeous. What's up there? My man Connor holdin' out on me?" he said, not shy about diving right on into the questions even as he grabbed glasses and things to bring on downstairs.
Downstairs, Connor sat on the arm of a comfortable couch that was in a nice corner setting for more comfortable jamming, while John was over playing with some electronics or something across the room. Connor was already strumming on the guitar, his old favorite that Emily had already met.
