The fourteen month old smiled shyly at Colby, bringing the hand that wasn't holding onto Marla's pinky to her mouth and biting down on her fingers. Emily had to laugh at the shyness, shaking her head. "Oh, don't mind her, she'll get her manners as time goes on. Just give her some time and ya won't be able to chase her off or getting to stop babbling," she said fondly. Sarah really was a chatterbox once she got going, and she had a feeling it wouldn't take too long for her to get comfortable enough in the group to get going.
"Ooh, no!" Emily said with a laugh, holding her hands up. "Only Marla's here to play, Sarah and I are just here to listen. Trust me, ya don't want me to sing or even try to play anything." And it was difficult not to just mosey on down to the music room and find Connor. Her manners wouldn't let her do that. "I could give ya a hand with the drinks, if you'd like," she offered.
And Marla rolled her eyes behind Emily's back. "Oh, c'mon Em, take Sarah on down to the music room and find Connor, and I'll give the cutie a hand with the drinks," she insisted, scooping Sarah up and handing her over, winking at Colby. She had no idea if Connor's band mates knew about the couple in the making, and she wasn't worried at all about spilling the beans if they didn't.
Emily blushed, but she couldn't deny that she did want to go find Connor. "Well, if you don't need my help..."
"Nope, we don't, we've got it covered," Marla insisted.
