Shifting, Emily tucked her feet under her as she listened to him, pressing her lips together to hide a smile when as he talked. "Well, quasi-successful is better than not at all," she offered optimistically. She still thought it was kind of cute the way he was trying to learn to cook now, even more so now that she knew just why he hadn't had much opportunity to really learn as an adult before. Being on the road as much as he must have been probably didn't provide much opportunity for it. "And aww, you'll be back to driving in no time. Just a few more weeks." As long as he didn't overdo it, really.
She took a sip of water and then lowered the glass, holding it near her lap as she bit the corner of her lip and studied him for a moment. "Where would you go if you could drive right now?" she asked curiously. "I mean, you've probably seen a whole lot in... how long did ya say you did the tour bus thing? A decade?" she asked with just a hint of teasing. It did make her curious about how old he actually was, but it wasn't something she was worried about.
