He took her simple words as a nice version of 'hurt her and I'll kill you' speech, which he took with good grace. He hadn't heard it quite as often as some people, but he respected it. If you cared enough to warn someone, then the person was worth being cared about, in his experience. He already wondered how he was going to tell her, and what her reaction would be.
"You're definitely not half bad," he said, his shoulders easing a bit as well, much more comfortable talking about the profession than about who he was at the moment. "Well, if you're looking, I could help you out." Connor pulled his wallet from his back pocket, flipping it open and pulling out a card. He set it on the table and slid it over to her; it had his agent's number on it. "This is my agent. I don't know if he's looking for a female vocalist right now, but he would know who would be. He can also get you a couple of hours in a studio if I tell him to, since we have time we're not using right now, or you can use my recording equipment for a few hours once I get it all set up. It's not quite studio level, but the room is mostly soundproofed that I'm setting up at the house."
He'd been putting money into it for a little while; he'd had plans for years. "Colby and a few others are coming around in a few weeks, and we'll be jamming at my place for a bit, if you want to drop in and join us, too. We'll be figuring a bit out since Brett... well. We're always happy to jam with people."
