Connor shrugged faintly, used to being interrogated over his personal life if not before something even started in most cases. "Maybe," he admitted. "She's interesting and fun and attractive. But she doesn't seem interested yet, and I'll settle for friendship." He might be interested in more, but the one thing everyone had always been able to say about him was that he was a gentleman. "I don't really know yet. I barely know her."
He ran a hand back through his hair, a familiar movement that still felt aborted by the shorter length even after a few weeks. "I'll tell her soon," he said with a heavy sigh, not looking forward to it at all. He'd developed a bit of a dread about that sort of thing, though it was relatively rare to come across people who didn't know who he was. "I promise. Just give me a week or so."
