"Oh, you're missing out," he told her with a grin. "Bad special effects, cheesy monsters, and you can bet on who is going to die first and last and in between," he said. "There's a ton of fun to be had with those monster flicks." It was a silly thing to like, but fun times. He made an overdramatic gasp and grasped at his heart. "You haven't! Oh woe! Oh perish the thought! Blasphemer!" he declared, the corners of his lips twitching. "Naaaaah," he said after chuckling for a moment. "I'll just lend you all the special edition copies and urge you to watch them."
Connor looked around with interest once inside the coffee shop. It had been years and years since he'd been in this area for any amount of time, and even longer since he was here under any pretense of not being himself. Even if he hoped the change in style would be enough to simply give him a "familiar" face to anyone who thought they knew him.
He smiled faintly at the sounds coming from the corner. Not bad at all, definitely. "Oh hmm. Well, I can grab one or the other while you grab the other other," he said. "I'm cool with either." And he'd of course pay for his portion, and was considering asking if he could treat her--mostly for being so friendly to him and taking him along. Besides, she'd burned gas on the way here.
