Emily nodded in understanding as Connor explained. "Of course. You can't be expected to just be cooped up inside all day every day. You'll get cabin fever." She looked down at his ankle when he lifted it up. "How long do you have to have that on?" she asked curiously. She smiled when he said it sounded nice, pleased to have her suggestion received well. "They do have really good coffee, there." She bit the corner of her lip, then, as if she were considering something. "I'll be going on Sunday, if you'd like to come along and spare Dana from having to drive you," she offered, ignoring the anxious twisting in her stomach at it, unaware that some of her anxiety showed in her expression.
She found herself laughing lightly at his attempt at self-humor. "Cooking can be very relaxing... Or extremely frustrating, depending on your skill level," she said, grinning at him. Her attention was drawn over to what Dana was doing then, and her brows shot up a bit at talk of 'his girl.' "Oooh," she said when she saw the guitar. "You play? Not that it's any kind of rare talent 'round these parts, but it's still impressive. If you're any good, that is," she added with a little laugh. "Me? I don't have any kind of musical talent, but I like listening to it well enough."
