Connor was actually happy to be arriving here. It was a very quiet, tentative sort of happiness, more of a relaxation of relief that he was finally somewhere safe and stable and quiet, where hopefully he wouldn't be known and he could get away from everything for awhile in order to get his head together. He'd bought this house, through his aunt, years ago, and made a few improvements. The basement had stuff for music, though he was hoping to bring in a piano for the main floor. There was a pool in the back, and the enclosed sort of patio had a jacuzzi.
It was as close to anonymous as he could get, especially since his hair made him look so different now. He'd been here a couple of times a year, but now it was the perfect getaway, but always arrived and left discreetly.
He had levered himself carefully out of Dana's car, though he would be getting his own as soon as he could drive again. His ankle was in a cast, and his knee had a brace, but he refused to use crutches for just moving into the house. He looked up with an automatic small smile, relaxing inwardly when he saw only friendliness so far, and no recognition. He lifted his hand, taking a couple of careful steps toward the street. "Hello!" he called back. "Yeah, I'm moving in for awhile. Nice to see I have a couple of neighbors." He didn't want to hide completely, just go unrecognized. He did like to be around people, even if he was teased that he didn't sometimes.
