Mandy knew it was a sore subject, but she had promised that she would tell him first when she decided whether or not to go, so she was making it a point to keep that promise.
Letting out a soft sigh, she nodded. "I'm not particularly fond of the idea of being around him, but I really do need the closure. He was a very important part of my life for a long time, and he really did help me through some tough times."
Mandy covered his hand with hers, squeezed gently. "I think I would love a quiet evening at home afterward," she told him with a smile. Perhaps she would think of a way to pamper him to make up for it. Perhaps a full body massage. "Just the two of us."
