"Oh, they're just so sweet at this age," Pansy said. Her hand stroked over Peter's tiny back. She could imagine her stomach swollen with a little brother or sister for him, but she stopped the image, knowing that it still wasn't safe to go down that road yet. As much as she loved Theo, there still wasn't a guarantee that they would stay together.
Pansy grinned unabashedly. "I won't deny it," she admitted. They'd been told as much on several occasions, and she knew that it was true. She liked to think that Peter could even pass for her son and hoped it would be that way if she and Theo ever got married.
"Oh, that sounds delightful," she said, not sure if she really meant it. Travel is nice for a short vacation, but the truth was that she did love England. "What sort of antiques have you been collecting?" She was curious, and she did know how to make small talk even if the subject wasn't particularly interesting to her.
