Pansy was oblivious to the turmoil Milli was going through. She noticed the surprise, but figured it was similar to most people's surprise that she would date a father. With Peter in her arms, though, she didn't notice the brief hurt that flitted on her friend's face.
Peter pulled his arm away, but giggled against Pansy's neck and peeked out at Milli. Pansy brushed a hand over his still-soft hair fondly. "He really does look just like Theo." She was obviously smitten.
"Oh, about four months, so not very long, all around. He's wonderful, though. Everything I could want." She was so happy, and it showed.
"So what have you been up to since you've been gone?" she asked, surprised that she was genuinely curious.
