Ferrol laughed, shrugged, and smiled--all of these things were unapologetic. "Perhaps more often than not, then." He couldn't be sorry for who he was most of the time; he liked this him more than any that anyone had tried to force him to be.
"A puppy?" Ferrol said disbelievingly. "A puppy?!" His voice rose as he put a hand to his (still bare) chest melodramatically. "I am not a puppy!" He put on an offended look, though the smirk that hovered threatened to ruin it altogether.
Ferrol grinned as Brian finally took his bait; he let him have it, if only as a reward for playing that much. Perhaps another time, he'd make him work harder for it.
He did, however, reach out and pluck the strip of paper from between Brian's fingers. (There was a reason, after all, his brothers found him annoying.) "Secret desire, huh?" he said. "Sounds promising."
